Linda Badham raises objections to the afterlife. She pays particular attention to the Christian belief in the resurrection of the body at the end of time; this belief holds that humans who have died, instead of just existing as non-material souls in a disembodied state, will return to life in an embodied form. Badham criticizes this belief. This exercise deals with a reading from Badham in our anthology (pages 469-78 of Philosophy of Religion: Selected Readings (second edition), edited by Peterson, Hasker, Reichenbach, and Basinger).
