Physics Department Awards and Scholarships
Department Scholarships
In 1977 several department alumni established the Lawrence J. Monville,
S.J. Scholarship Fund by generously contributing and by inviting
other alumni to contribute. These merit-based scholarships were
first awarded in the 1980-81 academic year. The Edward J. Hodous,
S.J. Scholarship Fund was established by Mrs. Robert H. Briggs.
Both awards encourage and give recognition to outstanding students
who plan to pursue one of the major programs in the Physics Department.
The average annual award per student is $2,000.
Typically two or three per year are awarded to sophomore physics
majors.
For further information and application forms please contact the
Physics Department.
