Physics Research
Opportunites
Summer Opportunities
Physics students have numerous
opportunities for summer work that is related to their career goals.
Students who are interested in research can work with physics department
faculty and in research laboratories at other universitites and
research institutions. Students may also find paid internships with
engineering and technical companies that utilize their science education
and provide valuable practical training. We encourage all students
to take advantage of these opportunities for research and/or practical
training. Students should start thinking about the summer during
the Thanksgiving break of the previous year. Many places have application
deadlines in January or early February.
