Kathleen L. Barber Scholastic Academic Achievement Award in Political Science
The Kathleen Barber Scholastic Achievement Aware is given annually to Political Science majors who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. The award honors those students whose work reflects scholastic excellence and scholarship and whose scholastic achievements are complemented by a noteworthy commitment to service and initiatives connecting classroom experience to the local community and the world.

The award is conferred during the University's Senior Awards Ceremony held in the Spring of each academic year.

Exemplary Service Award
The Department also confers an Exemplary Service Award. This award is not conferred annually but is reserved for occasions when the Department has an exceptional student who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to politics that is translated into community service excellence.
