THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT JOHN CARROLL UNIVERSITY, The Jesuit University in Cleveland, announces a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology position, to begin August 2009. John Carroll University is a comprehensive liberal arts institution located in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, OH. The Psychology Department is housed in the new state-of-the-art Dolan Center for Science and Technology. All classrooms have integrated multimedia facilities and typical class sizes range from 10-30. The department has three observation rooms equipped for video recording, 20 individual experimental rooms, each equipped with a computer running MediaLab, and a suite for recording human physiological responses. The department has an active and collegial research environment fostering collaboration both among faculty and between faculty and students, with our students regularly winning awards for their research projects at regional conferences. There is an active Psychology Club and Psi Chi chapter. There are 10 tenured or tenure track faculty in the department. The candidate for this position should have a Ph.D. in psychology and teaching experience. ABD’s will be considered, but Ph.D.’s are preferred. Teaching duties will include some of the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, Experimental Design and Analysis with Lab, Tests and Measurements, Counseling Theory and Practice, and Practicum in Mental Health Services. The candidate also could develop courses in his or her area of expertise. Teaching load is 3 courses per semester with the expectation of an active research program.
