Student Research

JCU undergraduate students have a number of opportunities each year to design, conduct, and present research experiments.

During the summer, several JCU psychology students are selected to conduct research during a supervised internship at the Cleveland Clinic. Students can also receive research grants from the Huntington Cordington Foundation at conduct research with JCU faculty in the summer.  Click here to see pictures of students' posters about this research.

Students have several opportunities to present their research. Every year students attend the Ohio Undergraduate Research Conference in Psychology (originally founded by JCU professor Dr. Janet Larsen), the JCU Celebration of Scholarship, and the Midwestern Psychological Association's Meeting in Chicago.

Research classes include: PS 299 Research Experience in Psychology, PS 301 and PS 301L Experimental Design and Laboratory, PS 401 Advanced Research Methods, PS 497 Individual Research Project in Neuroscience, and PS 499 Individual Research Project in Psychology.

Below are pictures and information from these research experiences.
