WHAT IS THE SUGGESTED TIMETABLE FOR APPLYING TO LAW SCHOOL?
April of your junior year. Register for the LSAT. Begin to prepare for the LSAT in a systematic manner.
June. Take the LSAT. (Although you can take the LSAT the following October or December, June is the better time.)
August. Gather information about law schools and make a decision about which ones to apply to. Pick up a copy of the MAPLA guide from Dr. Swenson to aid in your decision.
September. Gather applications from law schools and begin to fill them out.
October. Request letters of recommendation from your recommenders. Write your personal statement. Attend the Cleveland Metropolitan Law School Day. Retake the LSAT if you feel that you have a realistic chance to improve your score.
November. Mail out your applications.
