Hector Vega Art Show leads into 'Festival Hispano' Friday (Sept. 28) at JCU

Dr. Komla Aggor (far right) gave his students a preview of the Hector Vega Art Exhibition in Room 132 of the O'Malley Center that can be viewed this week through Friday, when Festival Hispano 2001 will take place.  Vega, the well-known Cleveland artist, will be on hand from Noon-2 p.m. followed by these events in the Lombardo Student Center and on Keller Commons: Afro-Cuban Music & Capoeira, 2:30-3:30 p.m.; El Colibri (Music from Mexico and Central and South America, 4-5 p.m.; and the main event, Sammy de León and his Latin dance band, 6-9 p.m. Festival Hispano is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, Student Affairs, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Center for Global Education, Honors Program, La Mesa Hispánica, Latin American Studies Concentration, and the Latin American Students Association.
