James Daley, new business dean at Rockhurst, thanks Carroll |
|
The JCU community recently expressed best wishes to James Daley, who is leaving the Boler School of Business as Associate Dean and Professor of Marketing to become Dean of the Business School at Rockhurst University. "Rockhurst wants to make a go at business accreditation," explained Frank Navratil, Dean of the Boler School, "and James is the person to do it." Navratil praised Daley for helping Carroll gain accreditation of the MBA program in 1988, more than double the number of graduates from that program, and win acceptance by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) of flexible rules under which MBA candidates can transfer credits between 24 of the Jesuit colleges and universities. He also noted that Daley was one of the first two American professors to teach in the Beijing International Management Program. For his part, James Daley expressed his appreciation to everyone, beginning with Dean Navratil. "Frank told me from the start I'd be a colleague and he's always treated me that way," he said. Naming his wife, Marsha, and a number of others, he added, "I could have done little or nothing without the help of people like you." |
