Cardinal McCarrick to speak at JCU Thursday (April 25)

Theodore Cardinal McCarrick Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, Archbishop of Washington, will present "International Human Rights after September 11: Some Reflections" at 7:30 p.m., Thursday (April 25) in the Lombardo Conference Room. The lecture has several JCU sponsors (Program in Applied Ethics, Religious Studies, Cardinal Suenens Program, Center for Global Education, Honors Program, Political Science) as well as the Cleveland Diocese Commission on Catholic Community Action. Cardinal McCarrick, who also is among Church leaders meeting at the Vatican this week, was interviewed by Tim Russert '72 on "Meet the Press" Sunday regarding the charges of sexual abuse by clergy in the United States.
