Undergraduate
students who displayed their research summaries last week in the Murphy
Room included Kristine Gasbarre (above, left) , who briefed Psychology
Professor Janet Larsen on "The Effectiveness of Psychotherapy on
Long-Term Patients," Sarah Skorko (above, right) whose project is
entitled "Gene Expression Profiling using cDNA Microarrays," and
Joseph Rodgers (lower left), who shared his inquiry into "Use of an
Ion Chanel to Discriminate Between Single RNA and DNA Hairpin Molecules
with Identical Primary Sequences" with Chemistry Chair Paul Challen.
Gasbarre and Skorko pursued their research in conjunction with the
Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Rodgers' work was part of the National
Science Foundation's REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) program. |
