Blvd. herald the 65th international meeting of the Catholic Biblical
Association of America, which began Saturday (Aug. 2) and runs through
tomorrow (Aug. 5) The conference has attracted over 350 Biblical scholars, translators, and publishers from as far away as Italy, Peru, the Czech
Republic and Australia, according to Sheila McGinn, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at John Carroll and chair of the local arrangements committee. Dr. McGinn said CBA promotes biblical study by providing scholarship support to students in doctoral programs relating to the Scriptures, funding for archaeological digs, and other kinds of research grants.
