During his appearance at JCU on October 21, 2002, Kevin Cherilla '91 spoke of his first mountain climbing experience while he was a student at John Carroll, and of his adventures over the last 10 years with Erik Weihenmayer, first blind mountaineer to conquer Mount Everest and first to complete "The Seven Summits," climbing the highest peak on each of the seven continents.
