'raises' JCU flag atop
Europe's tallest peak
Kevin Cherilla '91 returned this week from a mountain climbing expedition to Mount Elbrus, Europe's highest summit, where
he unfurled a JCU pennant. Also on the 15-man team was Erik
Weihenmayer (below, right) who, with Cherilla as base camp manager, became the
first blind mountaineer to summit Everest. The National Federation of the Blind was a sponsor for both expeditions.
