First-year students start off Labor Day with community service

Some 25 first-year students concluded their first days experience at John Carroll yesterday morning with a community service trip to Laura's Home, a refuge for homeless women and children that the City Mission will open next February. Earlier in the weekend they met in their first sessions of the first-year seminar, and heard Father Ed Glynn SJ describe the goals of the Jesuit education they will receive at JCU.
