When finished, Laura's Home, on Puritas Road near W. 150 St., will provide short term housing for about 50 homeless mothers and 70 children. The four-story, $10 million structure has been funded exclusively through private donations under the auspices of The City Mission, a Christ-based organization headquartered at E. 55 St. and Carnegie Ave.
