Arth passes for JCU record 6 TD's as Streaks overwhelm CU, 56-7

Quarterback Tom Arth (top left) passed to Adam Therrien for just a few yards on this play, but he would throw a school record six touchdown passes, including two straight to Therrien, complete 22 of 26 attempts, and pass for 356 yards as Carroll overwhelmed Catholic University, 56-7, in its home opener Saturday (Sept. 7). Fans received a glimpse of the future Don Shula Stadium at Wasmer Field, watching the game from the visitors' grandstand, topped off with a temporary press box. Meanwhile Marty Hoehler and the JCU Pep Band provided their customary "big game" accompaniment.  The Streaks are off next week and then host Wilmington for Homecoming on September 21.
