| Quarterback Tom
Arth (top left) passed to Adam Therrien for just a few yards on this play,
but he would throw a school record six touchdown passes, including two
straight to Therrien, complete 22 of 26 attempts, and pass for 356 yards
as Carroll overwhelmed Catholic University, 56-7, in its home opener
Saturday (Sept. 7). Fans received a glimpse of the future Don Shula
Stadium at Wasmer Field, watching the game from the visitors' grandstand,
topped off with a temporary press box. Meanwhile Marty Hoehler and the JCU
Pep Band provided their customary "big game"
accompaniment. The Streaks are off next week and then host
Wilmington for Homecoming on September 21. |
