Jenny Basa announced lunchtime for the next group as the JCU Student Union today (Apr 4) led a day of sporting events and other activities for physically and mentally challenged youngsters from the Green Road Developmental Center. At right Jenny, with Ed Biles in the background, chatted with Albert. Some 200 students were buddies for the 100 youngsters with additional volunteers from teams and other student organizations staffing the various activities, all with the same objective: to make every participant a winner. The annual event involves the County Board of Mental Retardation. |
