| Carrie Kondrat '01, 'Heifer Project' help village in Kenya, Africa | ||

Through Father Dan Reim SJ of Campus Ministry, John Carroll University is supporting the efforts of Peace Corps volunteer Carrie Kondrat '01 to serve the women and children of Dago Village, Kenya, Africa, by purchasing cows through Heifer Project International. The cows not only will serve to fight childhood malnutrition and empower the women of the village, they also will help sustain an orphanage Kondrat
is trying to establish named "Dala Hera," ("Loving Home" in Kiswahili, the national language in Kenya.)
Many of the orphans were born with the HIV virus.
