| "Evil always triumphs
when good people do nothing," declared former Cleveland Mayor Michael
White as he built his lecture at JCU last night around the famous quotation
on the holocaust. Describing three "rings," one encompassing those
who are evil, another those who are good and the third those who are "watchers
and waiters," he praised the Carroll community for its history of "caring,
giving and taking the road less travelled." He was welcomed by Father
Edward Glynn SJ and introduced by Political Science Chair Lauren Bowen,
whose department sponsored the event along with History, Religious Studies
and the Center for Community Service. Click on speakers for audio streaming. |
