Thursday, March 16, 2006, the Office of Multicultural Affairs at John Carroll University will welcome the St. Maron Lebanese Folklore Dance Troop. The dance group has been performing traditional dance for over 20 years. |

| WHAT : | Ms. Linda Martin-Alcoff, author and educator, will be the guest of the Office of Multicultural Affairs on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 7 p.m. Martin-Alcoff will give a lecture entitled “Mestiza Identity Politics.” |
| WHO: | Martin-Alcoff, a professor of philosophy at Syracuse University, works primarily in continental philosophy, epistemology, feminist theory and philosophy of race. Her books include Feminist Epistemologies, Thinking From the Underside of History, and Identities. In addition, she has also written a number of articles concerning Foucault, sexual violence, the politics of knowledge, and gender and race identity. Martin-Alcoff was awarded the Laura J. and Douglas Meredith Professorship for her stellar teaching practices at Syracuse University. |
