Carroll University’s Amanda Majewski awarded prestigious Cleveland, OH –John Carroll University senior, Amanda Majewski, has been selected as a recipient of the National Betsy Plank/PRSSA Scholarship. This is a prestigious award that is only given to three students a year around the nation. Majewski, from Waterford, Pennsylvania, is a communications major with a marketing minor. Established in 1988, the scholarship is open to all PRSSA members enrolled in an undergraduate public relations program who are juniors or beginning their senior year. Every PRSSA chapter in the nation can nominate one candidate. The scholarship recognizes academic achievement in public relations and overall, demonstrated leadership, practical experience, and commitment to public relations. In addition
to this newest scholarship, Majewski is also the recipient of the GE Public
Relations Award. She is the vice president of John Carroll’s Eta
Eta chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association Honor
Society and president of John Carroll’s chapter of PRSSA. She was
a previous intern at Fleishman-Hillard and Dix and Eaton, where she recently
accepted a position following graduation.
