CARROLL UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES
|
|
WHAT::
|
John
Carroll University will celebrate its annual Homecoming festivities the
weekend of September 22-23, 2006. The events are family friendly and open
to the public.
On Friday evening, Recycled Percussion begins the weekend with a bang as their unique display of music called “Junk Rock” blends industrial rock with funk-punk-beatbox driven power percussion. This unusual band was voted the #1 performing group in the college market five times! The show is free and will be held in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center on the campus of John Carroll University. Saturday morning, the Homecoming Parade will feature the university’s many student organizations and local businesses as they take to the streets of University Heights. Traditional bagpipers, decorative floats and this year’s Homecoming Court will highlight the parade as it travels the streets surrounding campus beginning at the corner of South Belvoir and Carroll Boulevards. Candy will be passed out by marchers along the parade route! After the parade, it’s time to enjoy the annual Homecoming Street Fair! Enjoy tasty food from local restaurants, fun carnival games, and entertaining live music. Blue Streak pride will be on display at the men’s
varsity football game vs. Ohio Northern University. The announcement of
John Carroll’s Homecoming King and Queen will take place during
pre-game and the Hall of Fame Class of 2006 Ceremony will take place at
halftime. General admission tickets are $6.00, reserved seats are $8.00,
and children under 6 are free. |
