Carroll University’s Department of Communication and Theatre Arts
hosts the production of “Born Yesterday.” Misguided business tycoon, Harry Brock, never gambles when it comes to politics. Upon arriving in Washington, D.C., Brock wants to make sure he “buys drinks” for the right politicians in order to cash in a few dirty deals, using his charmingly-clueless girlfriend, Billie, as his accomplice. However, after witnessing the social awkwardness of his
unknowing companion Brock hires a young, idealistic journalist to teach
Billie a few lessons in etiquette. However while learning to mind her
manners, Billie also learns of the underhanded dealings of her corrupt
companion and soon becomes the foil to Brock’s distorted plan to
success. |
