Award-Winning Writers Present a special Poetry Performance

University Heights, OH-Several John Carroll University faculty members have recently won prestigious awards for their exemplary creative writing talents. They are participating in a poetry and prose performance, “Get Lit”, on the John Carroll University campus, located at 20700 North Park Boulevard in University Heights.

Featured faculty and their published works include:

• George Bilgere, winner of the 2006 May Swenson Award for his book, Haywire
• Paula McLain, recently published author, Stumble, Gorgeous
• Steven Hayward, winner of the 2 006 Premio Grinzane Cavour Prize for Best Emerging Writer
• Philip Metres, author of Instants
• Mary Weems, author
• Sarah Willis, author

“Get Lit”, a performance of poetry and prose, is sponsored by the John Carroll University Department of English and the English Club.
