200 Local Middle School Students Participate in
Junior Model United Nations Program at John Carroll University
January 11-12, 2007

WHAT:
 John Carroll University is hosting the Junior Model United Nations (UN), sponsored by the Cleveland Council on World Affairs. The Model UN is an authentic simulation of the debates and deliberations of UN bodies in which students represent ambassadors of member states and debate current issues on the UN’s agenda. Students researched their assigned country and its policies to prepare for debate.
WHO:
 Approximately 200 students from local middle schools representing Cleveland Heights-University Heights, St. Angela Merici, Shaker Middle School, Lakewood Catholic Academy and Hathaway Brown are participating in this two-day event on the John Carroll campus.
