The Great American Smokeout is a day when smokers are encouraged to stop smoking for the day, and possibly for the rest of their lives. Sponsored by the JCU chapter of Colleges Against Cancer, this event will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2008. Look for the table in the atrium for free candy with cancer facts, information about lung, throat, mouth, and esophageal cancers, and sign the petition against Ohio S.B. 346, a bill that would repeal many aspects of the SmokeFreeOhio legislation passed by voters in 2006.
