Your Money (and Time) Can Go a Long Way in the Fight.
To date, more than $3 billion has been raised nationwide at Relay
events since 1985. At John Carroll, we have been fortunate to
raise over $180,000 during our first two years of hosting the event. We ask for your support
to increase that number this year through donations of various
kinds, outlined in this section.
The American Cancer Society is the direct beneficiary of all
proceeds of JCU's Relay For Life. Funding is used to further cancer
research and develop new vaccines or medicines in the treatment
of cancer, educate millions of people on the effects of cancer
and encourage them to do what they can to help prevent it, advocate
for legislation that will reduce the number of cancer cases in
the future, and provide numerous services to cancer patients and
survivors across the country.
