Welcome to the seventh annual A Celebration of Scholarship! a week-long event which highlights faculty and student research, scholarship, and creative endeavors. As the new host of the Celebration, I am pleased that this event has found a home in the Academic Vice President’s Office, signifying the importance placed by the University on this scholarly forum.

The 2008 Celebration will continue the tradition of an opening speaker on Monday, March 10; paper and panel sessions on Tuesday through Thursday; a poster session on Thursday night; the Art Exhibit in Grasselli Library; and the Arts at Lunch in the Student Center Atrium.

As a reminder, the deadline for submission of applications to the paper, panel, and poster sessions is Monday, January 28, 2008. Applications for the Art Exhibit and the Arts at Lunch are due by February 11, 2008.

I look forward to my involvement with this event as it continues to grow and celebrate academic inquiry.
