The University provides a variety of opportunities to full-time tenured and tenure track faculty for professional development and for support of research projects. The increasing number of awards in recent years indicates the commitment of the University to research and professional development.

Listed in this section is information on internal awards for faculty research and faculty development.

The University also provides teaching load reductions for research. Faculty should submit requests through the department chair to the appropriate dean as part of the annual evaluation process. Projects must demonstrate research productivity. Department funds may also be available for faculty members to attend academic conferences at which they are presenting. Contact department chairs for more information.
