The Graduate School Dean, as Coordinator of Research, serves ex officio as Chair of the Committee on Research and Service which oversees these awards.

George Grauel Faculty Fellowship |
|
This fellowship is available to support faculty research for either one full semester at full salary or one full year at half-salary. Proposals should either be primarily research-oriented for possible publication or devoted to other types of faculty development, such as visits to research-oriented universities or libraries, service-oriented activities, textbook or curriculum development, coursework in one's field, or other professional activities. |

Financial Assistance for Research |
|
Small grants for financial assistance for the support of faculty research are available, either directly from the Chair of the Committee on Research & Service, or if they exceed $300, from the Committee on Research & Service. Requests may be submitted at any time during the year, but early application is encouraged. |

Summer Research Fellowships |
|
To provide support for faculty research during the summer,
fellowships are available in two categories on a competitive
basis to provide support for faculty research during the summer.
The first category (A) provides a stipend for a summer research
project on a full-time basis with the expectation of a submission
to high quality, refereed journal or an equivalent standard
of intellectual contribution. The second category (B) allows
the faculty member to teach only one course during the summer
sessions.
Note: Boler School of Business (BSOB) faculty
should apply directly to the BSOB Dean. |

Subvention Funds |
|
Funds may be available to assist in publication of books and journal articles. Requests will be reviewed by the Committee on Research and Service in accordance with the Subvention Request Policy. |
