Sandy Howard
Intramural and Recreation Director
Sandy has spent the last few years helping the crew team to gain success. Sandy has helped with many behind the scenes projects, such as: acting as a liaison between the team and the school, helping to prepare budgets for approval, and helping us stay compliant with school regulations.

Sandy has been a great influence on the officer board and coaching staff and for that, we thank her.

Christine Somosi
Faculty Advisor
When Chris is not advising the crew team, she is the Director of Media Relations at JCU. Chris came into this role at the start of the 2005-2006 school year. She is doing a lot to help the team get its name out in the community. Chris is very involved with recruiting and any other needs that the team may have.

Chris also can be found navigating the Cuyahoga in a shell over the summer with the Cleveland Rowing Foundation’s Summer Rowing League.

We welcome Chris to the team and look forward to the suggestions she has to offer.

James Lissemore, PhD
Faculty Advisor 1992-2005
Dr. Lissmore has been a fantastic influence to this team. He was the faculty advisor to the team since its inception. He was always willing to step in and help the team whenever he possibly could. Dr. Lissemore was always to be found at the Head of the Cuyahoga to cheer on the team. He is an Associate Professor of Biology at John Carroll.

Dr. Lissemore, thank you very much for the many years you have dedicated to this team. We greatly appreciate it and thank you for helping in our success.
