STREAK WEEK SERVICE PROJECT
The Streak Week Service Project is a special service activity developed for incoming freshmen. This annual event gives first-year students an opportunity to learn about the important role of service at John Carroll University, to meet fellow first-years and other members of the JCU community, and to partner with and provide much-needed assistance to local organizations and residents in the Cleveland area.
This year, Streak Week Service Project events will begin with dinner and special activities at 6:00pm on Wednesday, August 27th. (Registered participants who intend to live on campus will receive instructions regarding an early move-in time.) The service project will take place the next day, Thursday, August 28th, from 10:00am-2:00pm. Transportation will be provided to all participants, as well as beverages, lunch, and a "Streak Week Service Project" t-shirt. The service activities might include painting, gardening, clean-up and organizational work, and other general renovation activities, so participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and foot protection. (However, all necessary tools, equipment, and safety gear will be provided.)
Registration deadline for the 2008 Streak Week Service Project is July 18, 2008.
