SERVICE DEADLINES

Fall 2009 Service Enrollment and Registration will OPEN at 9:00am on Monday, August 31st. Service activities will be opened for registration on that day; weekly service activities will open on a rolling basis through 4:00pm on Friday, September 11th. Enrollment and registration for weekly service activities will CLOSE at 4:00pm on Friday, September 11th.

In addition to weekly service activities, various one time projects (OTP's) and special service events are developed and opened for registration throughout the semester. Some of these may fulfill a service learning requirement for a course; students should check with their instructor for details. Students can learn about these opportunities by conducting a search on our database and selecting "One Time Project" as an area of interest.

All Fall 2009 service activities, whether weekly or OTP, will begin on Thursday, September 17th and run through Saturday, December 12th.

Special Requirements for Students in Service Learning Courses:

Regardless of whether you will be participating in weekly service or in one or more One Time Projects, all students who intend to engage in service as part of a course requirement must be enrolled as a service participant, have attended a Pre-Service Orientation Session (either online or in person), and have registered for a service activity by September 11th to ensure that they can be placed for service and meet the service learning requirements for their course.
