FALL SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
The Center for Service and Social Action (CSSA) is frequently made aware of service opportunities which take place over the summer months. Although not sponsored by the CSSA office, the Center posts them here, as they might be of interest to JCU students, staff, faculty, and alumni. CSSA does not coordinate registration, transportation, or service hour tracking for these activities. If you are interested in partcipating in any of these Summer Service Opportunities, please contact the designated site coordinator for more details.

Opportunity Site: Haiti Shoes for Kids Drive
Description: Hello, everyone! I need your help! A good friend of mine has started a project called "Enduring Hope." He is competing in triathalons (races that include swimming, running, and biking) to raise money to ship shoes to children in Haiti. These children walk to school every day without shoes on the rocky ground. Many of them have to walk as far as 5 miles! So...I need your help. When you come to school in a few weeks, please bring shoes that are gently used (still in good shape) that you are willing to donate to these children. I will be collecting the shoes and preparing them for shipment to Haiti in January. All sizes are needed.
