SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM
The Center for Service and Social Action (CSSA) and the Staff and Administration Council (STAD) are pleased to announce the initiation of Summer Service Projects. Each month, STAD and CSSA will cooperate in sponsoring a service project open to participation by any interested member of the JCU community.
We will launch our first project, the "Summer Lunch Program," on Friday, June 29th. The Summer Lunch Program is a food drive geared toward collecting nutritional box lunch items, which will be given to local organizations that provide meals to children during the summer months. Such items include:
- peanut butter
- jelly
- tuna
- macaroni and cheese
- 100% juice boxes and/or juice containers
- individual-sized packages of applesauce, pudding, cookies, crackers, etc.
Items may be dropped off at the Center for Service and Social Action, Campus Ministry, the Cashier’s Office, the Boler School of Business Dean’s Office, Biology, Athletics, the Admissions reception area, and the Library—just look for the bright red lunchboxes!
