VOLUNTARY SERVICE

All Center for Service and Social Action (CSSA) sponsored service opportunities are open to participation by volunteers, whether they be JCU students, staff, administrators, faculty, or alumni (unless they are listed as "restricted"). Any JCU community member may search or browse for these activities here. Students may register for these activities by attending a Pre-Service Orientation Session, enrolling as a service participant, and registering for the activity. All other JCU community members are asked to call the CSSA office at 216.397.1662 if they find a sponsored service activity in which they would like to participate.

In addition to sponsored activities, the Center for Service and Social Action also maintains a list of Voluntary Service Opportunities (see below). These are activities which are not sponsored by the CSSA office, but which might be of interest to JCU students, staff, faculty, and alumni. CSSA does not coordinate registration, transportation, or service hour tracking for these activities.

The requirements for voluntary service opportunities (in terms of time commitment, special training, and/or background checks) can vary. Persons interested in partcipating in a volunteer opportunity are encouraged to contact the designated site coordinator for more details.
