A Cleveland Catholic Charities Health and Human Services organization, St. Martin de Porres Family Center is a multi-purpose neighborhood center in the Collinwood, Glenville, Forest Hills area. St. Martin's provides services for individuals, families, youth and seniors regardless of race or religious beliefs. Programs include Moms First, Help Me Grow, Early Literacy, Afterschool Enrichment, Tapestry, Seniors Programming, and Emergency Assistance and Wrap-around Services. St. Martin de Porres Family Center believes that families are a community's most valuable resource, and that the racial, cultural, and ethnic heritage of a neighborhood should be valued and supported.
What we do there:
Service particpiants will be working children aged K-6 to enhance academic performance and to improve social skills. Activities can include assisting with homework, joining the children in game time and recreational activities, and helping to prepare and serve a meal for the children.
