Through the efforts of Mayfield Communities and Mayfield Schools, the Adaptive Recreation Program offers recreational opportunities for individuals with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities. However, these programs are designed for everyone--not just for those with disabilities. The success of the program depends upon participants of all abilities interacting together.

Service participants in this activity join teens and young adults with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities in "Pizza Bowls" and "Game Nights," in which all participants join in bowling, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, board games, and other activities. Pizza and soda are also provided!

NOTE: These programs involve participation with  individuals with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities; service participants should be patient and understanding. Service participants who are uncomfortable working with this population are encouraged to select a different activity.

ALSO: This is NOT a weekly service opportunity, as the dates, times, and specific activities of this service opportunity vary. The exact details are:

1. Pizza Bowl Friday,  9/18, 6:45-9:00pm
2. Game Night Friday, 9/25, 6:00-8:00pm
3. Game Night Friday, 10/9, 6:00-8:00pm
4. Pizza Bowl Friday,  10/23, 6:45-9:00pm
5. Game Night Friday, 11/6, 6:00-8:00pm
6. Pizza Bowl Friday,  11/13, 6:45-9:00pm
7. Game Night Friday, 12/4, 6:00-8:00pm
8. Pizza Bowl Friday,  12/11, 6:45-9:00pm(Friday, 12/11 is pending final confirmation) 

Please make a note of all these dates and times in your calendar. Game nights are held at Mayfield Middle School; Pizza Bowls are held at Roseland Lanes. The travel time for Game Nights is 30 minutes, so departure time for Game Nights will be 5:30pm. Travel time for Pizza Bowl Nights is 45 minutes, so departure time for Pizza Bowl Nights will be 6:00pm.
