Description:
Through the efforts of Mayfield Communities and Mayfield Schools, the Adaptive Recreation Program offers recreational opportunities for individuals with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities. However, these programs are designed for everyone--not just for those with disabilities. The success of the program depends upon participants of all abilities interacting together.
What we do there:
Service participants in these activities join teens and young adults with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities in "Pizza Bowls" and "Game Nights," in which all participants join in bowling, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, board games, and other activities. Pizza and soda are also provided!
