Norma Geller was a sociology major who graduated
from John Carroll University in 1987. In appreciation of the education
afforded to Mrs. Geller, she and her husband, Albert I., presented
a philanthropic gift to the Department of Sociology. This gift is
to be used at the discretion of a committee appointed by the department
for programs concerning human relations and the betterment of humankind.

The Fall 2007 Lecture speaker was HARRIETT APPLEGATE,
first woman elected as Executive Secretary of the North Shore ALF-CIO
who presented the lecture "The Condition of Labor and Laborers
in Cleveland and Beyond" to an attentive audience.
Currently, planning is underway for
the lecture in Fall of 2008.
Please check back later as more information
