STAD Points of Pride!
The Staff and Administrator Council has been working hard this past year to address issues and concerns of interest to JCU staff and administrators. Here are a few of last year's highlights, a result of service and teamwork!
- Recognized representative body of all staff and administrators at JCU
- Have representatives serving on JCU committees including the Budget Committee, University Planning Group, Diversity Task Force, Ombudsperson, Campus Climate Study
- Established anniversary year recognition at the Staff Picnic
- Co-sponsored the Stork’s Nest program; Taste of the Holidays; Communications TV Studio Open House; collection of household/personal items for refugees arriving in Cleveland
- Set up JCU landscaping tours with Ken Majewski
- Held two Open Meetings – one with a guest speaker (Bud Stuppy) the other with a panel discussion (JCU Points of Pride)
- Set up JCU day with the Lake Erie Monsters
- Helped promote and support a number of initiatives on campus such as Relay for Life
- Added “Spirit Day,” held on the last official workday preceding a holiday or school break, to the existing dress code policy
- List Center for Service and Social Action employee volunteer opportunities on the STAD web site
- Continued support of Phoneraiser
