John Carroll University Freshmen
Provide “Extreme Makeover” of
Local Community Center

John Carroll University is collaborating with the Thea Bowman Center (TBC) in support of the center’s community outreach efforts by providing a “makeover” of the TBC and its surroundings. “Makeover” activities will include:
- Playground landscaping
- Indoor painting of the center’s interior
- Outdoor painting of garages
John Carroll’s Campus Ministry and Center for Service and Social Action developed the project to help students make a connection to the local community during their initial days on campus.
Thea Bowman Center offers a safe, healthy environment and a range of services, including computer labs, a music school and other educational support programs. |

More than 140 John Carroll first-year students, along with current students, faculty, and staff members will volunteer at the center for the day |
