“The Children Left Behind:
AIDS Orphans Around the World”

These events are free to attend and open to the public.
“The Children Left Behind” is a 1,200 square foot interactive exhibit that captures life through the eyes of orphans and other children left vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.
Visitors “travel” to each country, immersing themselves in the stories of the children and the issues that affect them. The exhibit illuminates how life can be changed for the better when communities and organizations work together.
Some features of the exhibit include:
- Photographs and artifacts
- Original drawings and crafts created by the orphans
- Interactive stations, focusing on the global impact of AIDS

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Catholic Relief Services (CRS), an international relief and development organization, oversees 80 HIV/AIDS projects in 30 countries. CRS and its partners work daily with orphans and vulnerable children to provide them with food, shelter, education and healthcare. Through this unique exhibit, CRS hopes to introduce the concept of global solidarity, inspiring people around the world to empathize with children affected by AIDS.
