  UNDERGRADUATE BULLETIN 2005 - 2007

An Introduction to the College of Arts & Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences was established in 1886 under the name St. Ignatius College. The college is coeducational and initially enrolls all under-graduate degree seeking students, both full time and part time.

In addition to the University Core Curriculum in the Liberal Arts, the College of Arts and Sciences offers programs of study in thirty majors leading to degrees of bachelor of arts (B.A.), bachelor of arts in classics (B.A.Cl.), and bachelor of science (B.S.). Candidates for the degree bachelor of arts in classics must complete four courses in Latin (at or above LT 202) either as part of or in addition to other degree requirements.

Applying for Admission
All potential students seeking undergraduate admission to the university apply through the Office of Admission.

Transfer students and part time students should refer to the pertinent admissions procedures described in the admission section of this Bulletin.

Applicants must follow the general university regulations on admission, explained fully in the admission section of this Bulletin.
