Workstudy Positions at the Center
The Writing Center is staffed by nearly two-dozen specially-trained
undergraduate and graduate Writing Consultants. Undergraduate students
must complete appropriate training before working in the Center.
As such, if you are interested in a workstudy position with the
Writing Center, you need to complete English 290 ("Principles
of Tutoring Writing") this spring; you will then be eligible
for a paid workstudy position in the Center beginning in the Fall
of 2007. EN 290 requires instructor permission, so contact Dr. Drew
Morse if you would like to register. Though not yet confirned, it
is likely that this year's EN 290 will fulfill the core's W requirement.
Last year's EN
290 syllabus will give you a general sense of the ideas and
materials covered in the seminar.
