Katie Homar, a JCU English major who works in the Writing Center, recently presented "Critique and Preservation of True Pastoral Life in Wordsworth's 'Michael'" at the National Undergraduate Literature Conference (held in March at Utah's Weber State University). In her paper, Katie "analyzes the ways in which Wordsworth undermines rural myths in the poem and acts as a type of historian in preserving Michael's life story."
