Leveraging the expertise of departmental faculty and JCU’s connections with professional and collegiate sports, the Mike Cleary Program in Sports Studies offers an M.A. in Sports Leadership. This practitioner-focused program will position sports industry professionals to be exceptional leaders and decision-makers in their industry, emphasizing the knowledge that sports professionals draw upon on a daily basis, including psychology, communications, marketing, finance, and ethics. Offered in a fully online course format, this program will offer hands-on experiences in the industry through project-based work, internships, and other practical experiences.
The program requires 30 total credit hours and is taught in 15 week semester format. With the focus on working professionals, the program will be delivered year-round, online, in semester-long modules. Students will connect with faculty members, the university and each other at an annual Sports Symposium to be held on campus each summer.
