Dear Members of the John Carroll University Community,
I am saddened to inform you that two Director Emeriti members of the John Carroll University board of directors have passed away recently.
James Reid, Jr. was an influential board chair for many years and Director Emeriti who helped establish the James S. Reid Chair in Management in honor of his father. Jim and his wife, Donna, consistently showed a dedication and commitment to John Carroll and the greater Cleveland community with their philanthropic and charitable efforts.
Vincent A. Chiarucci was equally engrained in the culture of the John Carroll community and also served as a board chair and Director Emeriti. In 2007, the University honored Vince with the St. Joseph’s award, serving as a testament to the special pairing of his community service, generosity and the humorous personality we all came to know and love.
Please join me in praying for their families and thanking Jim and Vince for their service to JCU.
