The Department of Counseling at John Carroll University hosted their annual Practicum, Internship, and Networking Event on Saturday, January 25th, 2020. The event was organized by a team consisting of Counseling Department faculty, Beta Chi, Graduate Studies, and Career Services.

We were delighted to have 16 agencies attend (listed in alphabetical order):

  • Centers for Families and Children
  • Crossroads LCACS
  • Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center
  • Family Pride of Northeast Ohio
  • Hiram College
  • Kelly’s Grief Center
  • McIntyre Center
  • Moore Counseling and Medication Services
  • Nord Center

In all, there were attendees ranging from graduate students in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, School Counseling Program, undergraduate students, and alumni. Attendees communicated with site representatives to learn about internships and possible employers, while also gaining deeper insight about the mission of each agency. During the event, prospective students also had the chance to interact with faculty to learn about the counseling program at John Carroll. We appreciate those who attended and made this event possible, and look forward to next year’s event.
